Dear anybody who cares enough to read this,
So...yeah. It's been almost a year since I've actually taken the initiative to write a new one of these. There are not words to describe just how sad that is.

Most of you probably think I'm dead by now.

But a LOT has happened since the last time I wrote a journal. So, without further ado, I give you the shortest synopsis of my life in the past year EVAR!

So, I've been in college at UCLA (that would be the University of California at Los Angeles, for those who may not know) down in sunny Southern California. I'm almost at the end of my freshman year already.

Time literally flew by. No lie (ha! rhyme-age!). It's definitely been a challenge, but it's still completely awesome. I've learned so much in such a short amount of time, it boggles the mind.

I've also made some really great friends here and met WAAAY too many awesome and interesting people to even try and remember. But, with a undergraduate population of over 25,000 students and a brain that's half-fried from all the studying, remembering everyone you've met is a pretty difficult thing do.

But, life is still good. Dorm life is not too bad at all. The rooms are pretty dinky, but that's to be expected.

They're trying to fit three people into a room that's really only supposed to be for two...and even then it would be small. Yes, I have two roommates, but one happens to be an old friend form highschool, so it's all good. And hey, it's a place to study and sleep.

I have to say though...the food...AMAZING. Seriously fantastic dorm food. No question. It's cooked and everything! Not out of a series of cans! REAL food!

...I KNOW! I would say we're spoiled, but for the kind of money we fork over to go here, I don't think I'll go so far as to say spoiled...lucky, maybe.

I've pretty much gotten the hang of things, though and I adjusted quite nicely. There have for sure been some down times and some seriously harsh points with finals and midterms and studying and bleh.

I'm pretty used to it now, though. My last set of finals for the year is coming up in just two weeks. Calc and chem with a little Chinese Art History to round out the menu. Oughta be fun, eh?

Yeah, I plan on studying my ass off for the next two weeks, but then the pain will be over and then SUMMER! WOOOOO!

But more importantly, right after school gets out (technically that's on June 12th, but I'm packing up my crap and heading home on the 11th because my finals are over) I get to fly all the way across the country to Virginia so I can see my man.

My man is (still) Ben, a.k.a.

, by the way. Yup. He and I have been going strong for over a year and a half now (as a couple, anyway...we've known each other for almost 3 years by now...wow

). I get to be with him for TWO WHOLE WEEKS, too! I leave on the 14th of June and don't get back home until the 30th!

I'm so excited it hurts a little.

It'll only get worse, too. By the time we get to night before I leave, I'll probably feel like I have to puke with all the butterflies I'll have.

<--but with love.

He and his family are going to take me to see the sites at Washington, D.C. which is amazing for me, since I've never been before. But, what will really be amazing is getting to see Ben again.

It'll be over a year since I last got to see him, once I make it out there. Totally worth the wait, though.

And after I come back (boo

), I'll work on getting a job for the summer...you know, me and about 50 billion other kids and folks that got laid off.

I already did my job-hunting over Spring Break about 2 months ago. Some potential nibbles, but no call-backs quite yet. I'll probably have to start bugging them.

And then it'll be back to school again toward the end of September. Good times.

But yeah, that's pretty much what's been going on with me over the past...year (just ultra-condensed). Shameful, I know. I've been plenty busy, but a year is just ridiculous.

My bad, guys. I can't say it won't happen again with school and life and all, but I'll try not to make it as bad the next time around.

But hey, tell me HOW you all have been doing and WHAT you've all been doing. I'm a curious puppy.

Feel free to let me know what's been up with you. Until later, guys!

Peace out y'all,
fingerlikingud
P.S. Do you guys think I crammed enough emotes in there?

P.P.S. I'm also going to be posting some stuff I took while on a field trip for my Chinese Art History class. More about that when I post. Just a few simple snapshots of some pretty things.
